In terms of precision and accuracy, the Scivex™ Confluent IPV is indistinguishable from traditional glass barrel/Teflon syringes with Kel-F®/Teflon plug valves (Figure 1).
The Big Difference

Built on the same principles as our Precision Dispense Pumps, extensive tests show the Scivex Confluent IPV will outlast traditional syringes by as much as 20 fold, yielding major lifetime cost savings (Figure 2). As a bonus, you save even more on downtime and upkeep because the Confluent IPV requires no routine preventive maintenance such as cleaning and nut tightening essential with conventional syringe pumps. By selecting the seal-wash option, you can extend Confluent IPV life even longer.
The "How" of Such Dramatic Savings

First, we use cutting-edge piston technology to pump fluid via positive displacement in lieu of a traditional syringe. Second, we incorporate a ceramic-on-ceramic shear valve instead of the more common plastic plug valve. These innovations coupled with our proprietary surface finishing processes on the ultra-hard piston, rotor and stator surfaces, mean significantly less wear, less downtime and reduced cost of ownership (Figure 3).
Getting up and running takes as little as five minutes with the IPV’s plug-and-play compatibility with Cavro XP-3000 syringe pumps. Contact us for information on compatibility with other syringe pumps as well as capabilities for lower flow rates.
